When an end-user experiences an issue with the Island Enterprise Browser, it’s often helpful to collect diagnostic logs to send to an Island support representative. Island logs can help in the following areas:
Troubleshooting: Logs provide valuable information about what happened leading up to and during the occurrence of an issue. They can help identify the root cause of the problem, allowing developers or support teams to troubleshoot more effectively.
Reproducibility: Logs capture a detailed record of events, including error messages, warnings, and stack traces. By sharing these logs with developers or support teams, they can better understand the issue and reproduce it in their own environment. This is crucial for diagnosing and fixing the problem.
Contextual information: Logs often contain contextual information such as timestamps, user actions, system configurations, and network requests. This information helps in understanding the specific conditions under which the issue occurred, aiding in the investigation and resolution process.
Collaboration: Logs serve as a common language between users and support teams or developers. By providing logs, users can effectively communicate the problems they encounter, enabling support teams to provide more accurate and timely assistance
When collecting diagnostic logs, it's important to ensure that they are captured at the appropriate level of detail and include relevant information. When collecting diagnostic logs, please ensure the log capture is started and stopped at the appropriate time to capture the entire event that is causing the issue.
