You can switch browsers without losing your settings and bookmarks for your favorite websites. Import your previously used bookmarks and settings by clicking Import your settings.

Depending on the browser, your settings could include the following:

Chromium (Island, Microsoft Edge, etc.) - Bookmarks, browsing history, saved passwords, and extensions

Microsoft Edge (Pre-2020) - Bookmarks (Windows only)

Firefox - Bookmarks, default homepage, browsing history, saved passwords (not supported on Mac), and autofill form data

Internet Explorer (IE) - Bookmarks, default homepage, browsing history, and search engines

Safari - Bookmarks (macOS only)

To import bookmarks from a non-Island browser into Island, you can follow these steps:

1. Open Island on your computer.

2. Click on the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner of the Island window.

3. From the dropdown menu, select "Bookmarks" and then click on "Import bookmarks and settings."

4. A new window will appear. In the "Import bookmarks and settings" window, you'll see a drop-down menu labeled "Browser." Click on it and select "Microsoft Edge."

5. Once you've selected Microsoft Edge, you'll see a list of items you can import. Make sure the "Favorites/Bookmarks" option is checked.

6. Click on the "Import" button to start the import process. Island will then import your bookmarks from Microsoft Edge.

7. After the import is complete, you'll see a confirmation message. You can then close the "Import bookmarks and settings" window.

8. To access your imported bookmarks, click on the three-dot menu icon again, select "Bookmarks," and you'll find your imported bookmarks listed under a folder named "Imported from Microsoft Edge."

That's it! You have successfully imported your bookmarks from Microsoft Edge into Island.
