Experts (independent contractors) are entirely in control of their schedules. As such, they are not required to notify SimplrFlex or seek approval from anyone for any leave, regardless of type. Even if you have a new job, a new addition to your family, or are facing new challenges in your life, we are glad to support you by providing limitless time away from the platform.
That said, there are a few notes;
As an independent contractor, you are solely responsible for setting aside funds for vacations, sick leave, etc. This is not covered by SimplrFlex. We do have a partnership, however, that can help you plan for and save for these events.
If you are away from the platform for more than 30 days, please note that one of our requirements to keep your account active is to answer at least one ticket every 30 days. You need to log in to the platform every 30 days and fully resolve a ticket to keep your account active. Resolving a ticket takes fewer than 5 minutes in most cases (probably less time than it would have taken for you to request time off from most jobs) and less time than it would have taken for you to request time off and have it approved from most jobs.
If you cannot resolve a ticket, there are two other options for you:
You can email us at email@example.com and request to pause your account. No justification or explanation is required. We'll pause your account, and you can reach back out to reactivate your account at any time. We'll get back to you within 1-2 business days of your request.
If you do not pause your account, we will automatically deactivate your account at the 30-day mark per our policy. You can reach back out at any time to request that your account be reactivated, but in this case, you may be placed on our reactivating waiting list until we need your talent again. This can be as little as a few days or as many as a few months.
